

The first commercial service pack for Office 2013 was released on November 7, 2013.

It was announced on Apas 'Confidential' at the BUILD 2013 conference in San Diego, and was first released on 27 June 2013. It was released on February 11, 2013, and is codenamed as Office 15. Microsoft Office 2013 is the next version of Microsoft Office for Microsoft Windows. To run 32-bit Office, the computer must either be running Windows 7 or later, or be used with a virtualization software such as Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 SP1 (VB6), Microsoft Virtual PC 2007, VMware Player, VMware Workstation, or Sun VirtualBox. This version of Office is a 64-bit version the past 32-bit versions were built for compatibility with Windows 8 however, Windows 7 could run 32-bit programs and 32-bit Office 2010, and 64-bit Office 2013.

Office 2013 is the successor to Microsoft Office 2013, the next version of Microsoft Office for Microsoft Windows. The update includes a new Single Sign On feature. Additional features include compatibility with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, the Apple File System (APFS), and compatibility with Microsoft Office 2010 for the first time. Office 2011 for Mac was released on October 26, 2010, after the Windows version.
